1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using CheckSSLExpiry (the "Service", located at https://checksslexpiry.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

CheckSSLExpiry provides public SSL/TLS certificate inspection, expiration countdown telemetry, cryptographic diagnostics, and optional automated advance email notifications prior to certificate expiration.

The Service is provided 100% free of charge without user accounts, passwords, trial periods, or paid subscription tiers.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service to initiate Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, flood servers with malicious traffic, or probe unauthorized ports.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, bypass rate limits, exploit SSRF vulnerabilities, or abuse our public API endpoints with high-volume automated scripts.
• Submit email addresses that you do not own or are not authorized to monitor.
• Submit private IP addresses, loopback addresses, or non-public internal domain names for checking.

4. Fair Use Limits

To ensure high availability and prevent resource exhaustion, the Service enforces reasonable fair-use limits:

• Maximum 25 active monitored domains per verified email address.
• Rate limiting on instant checks per client IP address.
• Rate limiting on monitor enrollment requests per email address.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & "As-Is" Service

CheckSSLExpiry is provided on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

While we engineer our monitoring algorithms to provide maximum cryptographic accuracy and high alert reliability, CheckSSLExpiry is an external secondary advisory tool. You are solely responsible for maintaining, testing, and managing your server's primary automated renewal pipelines (e.g. ACME / Certbot).

We do not guarantee that checks will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that email delivery will never be delayed by upstream mail transfer agents or spam filters.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall CheckSSLExpiry, its developers, operators, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, data, website downtime, or security incidents) arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.

7. Modifications & Termination

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms of Service, at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Service following any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
